Tanzu Mission Control and Tanzu Observability Integration

This document will guide you through adding the Taznu Observability integration to your Tanzu Mission Control clusters.

NOTE: The integration currently installs proxy 10.14. If you would like a newer proxy, you will have to install it manually. 

 

Login to Tanzu Mission Control UI. 

 

On the left hand side, click on Administration.

At the top, click on Integrations.

Under Tanzu Observability, click Enable. Then click Confirm.

Tanzu Observability is now enabled.

Click on Clusters on the left hand side.

Click on the cluster you wish to add Tanzu Observability to.

From here, you can see there are no integrations currently deployed.

Click on Add Integration>Tanzu Observability.

Click on Setup New Credential.

Add your VMware Aria Operations for Applications URL and API Token and click Confirm.

Under Integrations, you will see Tanzu Observability being deployed. You must click the refresh button in order for the status to update.

NOTE: If you click on the Tanzu Observability link, it will bring you to your VMware Aria Operations for Applications UI with your cluster information.

 

Under Agent and extensions health, you will now see wavefront-extension.

Your cluster is now ready to start sending metrics to VMware Aria Operations for Applications. It will take about 15 minutes for data to start showing in your VMware Aria Operations for Applications UI.
